Champions deserve a home! Support Houston’s Downtown Soccer Stadium
The Houstonist had some nice things to say about us and linked to Home for the Dynamo! - Thanks for your support!

Houston, Texas is one of the best soccer cities in the United States and will get a soccer stadium. The city can either get it now or pay twice as much for it down the road. Passionate soccer fans are shaping the course of soccer history with their want and desire to be heard. From stadium issues to creating a fun and passionate environment at games. No one can underestimate the strength and passion of the soccer fan. With homeforthedynamo.com fans CAN be heard on the stadium issue and get involved in a direct and meaningful way. This collective effort, started and managed by fans, should make a statement in and of itself about the love affair this city has with their soccer team. I encourage all soccer fans to go to homeforthedynamo.com and get involved.

I encourage you to somehow come to a mutual agreeement to clear the path to build a new soccer facility as soon as possible. The Dynamo agreement to fund the vast majority of the stadium cost is a new model for other sports clubs and citys across the US to follow. It will also help the expansion of downtown past the I-59 highway. There must be some way to assist the Dyanmo suffciently to save face and make it financially feasible for both the city and the team. Thank you for you consideration and efforts.

Why is the Houston - Harris County Sports Athority not behind the stadium effort?
Their stated purpose (on their website) is to secure private (and public?) funds for sports facilities. They have gotten several other facilities built where are they now?
They are a semi-public enitity and are missing in action. It is time for them to “get off the pot” and do their job as well as the polititions who put them in their positions.
It sounds like the people behind Reliant, Minnie Maid, and Toyota Center got their sweet deals but are trying to obstruct by omission any Dynamo deal. Civic pride only goes so far.

My name is “The Kraut”
I moved 6 yrs ago to Houston. My missing link in happy life was a football team in Houston. When I say football, I mean the real sport, not that american egg ball game !
We have now a team. The only professional team in Houston, which won a championship the last 10 years. Amd not only once, back to - back !
Please support our team, donate money!
Thank you .

One word that should get everyone backing our Stadium is “Dallas.” I hate everything about Dallas and I can’t stand the thought of them having a Soccer Stadium and our great City of Houston doesn’t. The Dynamo Stadium will be a financial success because Soccer is a year round sport and international teams will want to play her. Lets get it built and show the world that we will remain the best city in Texas in soccer as in everything else.
ARRIBA EL DYNAMO !!

I’ve been playing soccer on and off my entire life, and I can’t think of a better sport for kids and adults alike. I hope the rest of the city of Houston soon realizes what a wonderful, *professional* sports team they have in the Dynamo! They need their own stadium…they DESERVE their own stadium. I’m all for it — Go, Orange!

I’m not from Houston and, unfortunately, there are no MLS teams anywhere close to me. But, I am a fan of the league. As a fan of the league, I hope that the defending champion Dynamo can help to build the credibility of the MLS worldwide by adding another SSS.
I know you guys can do it and I’m 100% with you.
Good luck!!!

Count me in as on board for a new home for the Dynamo. Soccer is a great sport and I think it important that Houston remain in the forefront when it comes to being a location not only for an MLS champion franchise, but also for other international matches that I think would be a good fit for a venue smaller than Reliant, but more new than Robertson.

Great site. Houston needs a soccer stadium, and more importantly, the Dynamo need a place they can call HOME. There’s no reason why the defending champions can’t get a proper HOME. They have our support, they need yours.
